More than Sunday

A church is more than just Sunday morning.

Ed Young has famously said that “it’s about the service stupid” and I understand and agree with that sentiment.  The Sunday service steers the ship and you need to make sure you’re giving Sundays everything you’ve got at a church.  A consistently bad Sunday experience will kill any church.

I must add, however, that a church is so much more than just a Sunday morning experience.  There must be fellowship and love and service and growth happening all during the week.  A church is a church seven days a week.

The reality is that you need to be able to back up Monday through Saturday what you’re promising on Sunday.  If not, you’re just a show.

A church must be able to deliver on Monday what it’s promising on Sunday!
